The turkey was popular today! Sold out quick on the turkey sandwiches. We'll be back tomorrow at 11 till sold out. We now have the jumbo leg-thigh quarters. Those quarters are huge. Menu for Saturday 20th is pork, chicken, turkey, beans, slaw, bbq potatoes, Brunswick stew, mac& cheese, corn casserole and desserts are pistachio nut cake, orange creamsicle cake, banana pudding and a new cake....Lemon Sunshine.

Let's go back to a simpler time. Slow down and enjoy a cold RC cola and a Moon Pie. Did your grandparents talk about this sweet treat. We have a few of these for y'all. The first 12 folks that stop by tomorrow for a brown bag lunch will get one, on us, to take home to enjoy. Or maybe, take to their mamaw, papaw or the senior citizen next door that just needs a smile.

We can't thank you enough. You guys have came out to Sunshine to eat with us. We understand times are tough for a lot of folks, and you still came to spend your time and money with us. You keep us going. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement online and in person.You have liked our page and shared content and it helps us. We're getting messages from Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and all over NC and SC. We can't thank you enough. Remember when your papaw would pack his lunch in a brown lunch bag? Up early, packed his lunch and headed out the door to work. We have BIG news. We're going to start opening on Fridays for lunch with a limited menu. We call it Sunshine Barbeque Company Sandwich Express. We're bringing back the old school brown bag lunch. Pit cooked pork piled high with sauce and slaw wrapped in grease stained brown paper. Or, pit cooked hand sliced turkey with our white sauce, a dab of sweet sauce, melted provolone cheese and slaw of choice. You'll get a bag of chips, a sodey dope or tea and a fresh baked soft peanut butter cookie or chocolate chip cookie. All for $13. We're just doing sandwiches. No plates or other sides on Friday. If you're in the area and need a great lunch, stop by. Find you a seat in the shade and enjoy your lunch. We'll be open Friday the 12th 11-2.
