To be ranked that high in a state that is known for great bagel shops, and to be one of only 3 in one of the most populous counties is some thing special! Thank you to everyone for your support!
For my entire life, I watched my father, an immigrant from Egypt, tirelessly leave the house at 3 am (4 if he was taking a "day off" 😉) and work on his feet for 12 or more hours, standing in front of a 500 degree oven no matter the weather. He stayed open through blizzards, hurricanes, and a pandemic because he wanted to ensure his community and employees were fed. He turns down no one who can't afford to pay or just forgot their wallet, he simply says "just come back when you can and tell your friends"...and they do!
So, I am so proud of Emad, dad, dadoo... because I know he wasn't even trying hard to win. He was just trying hard.
