Three years ago, our first single origin releases came from Julio César Madrid at La Riviera Estate in Risaralda, Colombia. That coffee helped shape the foundation of Lore and our pursuit of the remarkable.

For our anniversary, Julio created a custom lot exclusively for Lore, inspired by that original release. A piece of our history, brought forward through a relationship that continues to grow.

3 years of Lore!

This NEW release marks a rare collaboration with Julio César Madrid Tisnés in Risaralda, Colombia. Three years ago, our first single origin offering came from La Riviera Estate.

For our third anniversary, we worked with Julio to create a custom blend exclusively for Lore, designed as a tribute to that first release. Rather than simply offering a new lot, this coffee was composed to echo the cup that helped begin our journey.

This coffee is a tribute to our first steps as a roaster. The original La Riviera release helped define our earliest sense of what a clean, expressive Colombian coffee could be. Now, three years later, Julio has made something just for us: a return to that first cup, carried forward with gratitude.

Our first coffee from Rwanda has arrived.

Coffee was first introduced to Rwanda in the early 1900s, but it wasn’t until the last two decades that the country emerged as one of the world’s most respected specialty coffee origins. Investments in community washing stations, producer education, and careful processing have transformed Rwanda’s reputation, with its coffees now celebrated for their exceptional clarity, sweetness, and balance.

Our newest single origin comes from Nyabumera Site 807B in the Nyamasheke District, where more than 1,000 smallholder farmers contribute cherries to a shared community lot. Recently revitalized with a renewed focus on quality, the station is helping write the next chapter of Rwandan coffee.
