Friday isnโt just the end of the workweek. Itโs also a good day to celebrate friendship.

At #1 Mongolian BBQ, we have always believed that a restaurant is about more than just food.
Sometimes, itโs about the people who walk through our doors.
Some of them first came to us as customers.
Then they came back.
And came back again.
Before long, those familiar faces became people we looked forward to seeing.

Some of our friends are much older than Duy, but honestly, age has never been the important part.
What matters is the connection.
We see each other at the restaurant.

They follow Duyโs stories, read his posts, watch his photos and videos.

And that support means much more than a restaurant simply making a sale.

Sometimes itโs a simple conversation.

but those are the things that make life feel connected.
And there is another beautiful connection many of us share.

After living and working in Boise for so many years, Duy has had the opportunity to meet people from many different generations.
And one thing he has noticed again and again is how deeply many older Americans care about this country.
They care about its history.
They care about freedom.
They care about their families.
And they care about what kind of country the next generation will inherit.
They don't expect everyone to think exactly the same way.
But many simply hope that younger generations will care enough to pay attention.
To learn.
To understand history.
To understand what is happening around them.
And to appreciate the freedoms they have today.
That is something we can all understand.
Because America isn't built only by famous people, politicians, or those standing on a stage.
America is also built every day by ordinary people.
People who work.
People who raise families.
People who run small businesses.
People who serve their communities.
People who quietly do their partโฆ
and still carry a little piece of this country in their hearts.
Maybe that's what Friday Day โ Friend Day means to us.
Friendship doesn't care about age.
It doesn't care about where you came from.
Sometimes, it doesn't even require seeing each other every day.
Sometimes, friendship is simply knowing that there are people out there who genuinely care about youโฆ
and knowing that you genuinely care about them, too.
We meet in everyday life.
We find each other again on social media.
