We are still in our feels from the huge outpouring of support we received last week at our closing. SO in our feels, in fact, that we just had to finally share these beautiful pictures from the wedding of Katie and Will, hosted in our tasting room a few years ago. It’s moments like these that infused our humble little tasting room with so much magic. We were never fancy folk, but our community is filled with so much love, and it makes us feel pretty darn special to have gotten to share in so many special moments with you.

Thanks for all the love, Boise. Thank you Will and Katie for declaring your love in the old Mad Swede tasting room, and thank you for so gorgeously photographing their wedding, so that we all have these pictures to treasure. WE LOVE YOU ALL!! 🎉❤️🍻 SKÅL!!

It’s a time of tears and laughter down here at Mad Swede. Jerry took down his displayed medals yesterday, as the brewery and taproom will host its final Farewell Party on Tuesday evening.

It’s been an incredible 9 years serving you Boise, but it’s time to put our longship out to sea and sail on to the next adventure. Thank you for so many incredible parties and meaningful moments building community and enjoying delicious craft beer with you. We’ve hosted your birthday parties, work mixers, live shows, and open mics. We’ve hosted weddings and wakes. We’ve watched kids go from being just a twinkle in their father’s eye to running around the tasting room. It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve you! Jerry and Susie are looking forward to letting their many creative hobbies flourish in retirement, and making many memories with their new grand baby.

We’re still finalizing the details of the party on Tuesday, but we know that our good friends at Bochi Bochi - Japanese Eats, who brought their food truck Genki Takoyaki to our opening party nine years ago, will be there serving delicious food.

The Mad Swede Downtown Brew Hall will remain OPEN through the end of the year!!

Hot off the press!! John-Michael Bond is passing through Boise for one night only this Friday, August 8th! All the way from Tennesse by way of his current hometown of Los Angeles, John-Michael Bond was raised to be a minister but found himself as a touring comedian after several deacons complained. Cutting his teeth in punk clubs and dive bars, Bond mixes brash cynicism with outside the box optimism. Drawing from years of marriage, brawls, and odd conversations, he’s a LED light in these dark times.
