SEASON FINALE TURNS INTO BATTLE ROYALE
Eighteen competitors brought their A-games for the Season Finale last Saturday. The competition was unprecedented with almost every game being a nail-biter. Brooke and Dave battled through the losers’ bracket to face then undefeated Ralph and Mike. They took the first game and were poised to make a stunning comeback but fell just short in game 2 giving Ralph and Mike the coveted Season Finale victory. Formal competition ceases for the summer break BUT Saturday shuffleboard continues until the season opener the Saturday after Labor Day. Thanks to all who participated and to all the faithful spectators cheering everyone on.

FAMILIAR STRANGER COMES OUT ON TOP
Last Saturday mild mannered Gloria, aka The Destroyer, paired up with a new face, Shaggy. He looked familiar to many but we finally figured out it had to be Shaggy from Scoobie Doo. The pair cruised thru the loser’s bracket to face then undefeated Kent and Sara who quietly but decisively crushed the competition all the way to the championship. It was close but Gloria and Shaggy were on a roll by then and proved too much for gentleman Kent and the lovely Sara. Next up, Season Finale!
