It was an absolute treat serving you all this weekend. 🍬

The new street has brought a bit more life downtown, which also means more unsuspecting passersby have been wandering into our unassuming little Antique Shop for the first time, disappearing, and emerging later with a full belly and a spirited spring in their step.

Maybe a bit more of a wobble for some. 😜🍸

Some of the best interactions at the host stand are with people who have no idea that we’re anything but a quirky little shop.

This weekend, we had a group stop in while they were bar hopping down Main Street. They were in town for an event, had no idea what our place was, and had simply sent someone in to settle their curiosity.

The surprise and joy on their faces when they realized they had discovered a secret speakeasy while they were already out bar-hopping was like watching friends win a treasure hunt they didn’t even know they were on.

It was a delightfully sweet encounter 😄

So, thanks for finding us this weekend, whether you meant to or not.

We’ll be here when curiosity strikes again. 👀🍻

Our retro 60's TV Dinner was such a big hit this weekend, we're going to keep it on the menu another week! 📺

Our favorite highlight was seeing two of our beloved regulars enjoying their TV dinners while streaming old 60's TV shows on their phone 😁. What a way to tie it all together!

It's so good to see more of you now that the street is open again. Thanks for coming out and keeping us busy this weekend. 🥂

In celebration of Route 66's 100th anniversary and Downtown Bloomington's journey back to the swinging sixties, Chef Blake has prepared a modern take on an American classic.

There’s been a lot of change around here lately.

We’ve said goodbye to a few familiar faces. First Morgan, then Lucy, and this week we said goodbye to Grace.

Grace has been with the company for five years, and for the past eight months, she’s been part of the rhythm of Bakery & Pickle behind the bar — mixing drinks, welcoming guests, and helping shape the vibe of the room in the way that good hospitality people do.

We’re grateful for the time she shared with us, and excited for everything waiting for her in this next chapter.

And in a way, that’s been the theme around here lately.

We’ve watched a long season of construction finally come to an end. We’ve seen the Farmers’ Market return, parts of Main Street begin to open back up, and more people finding their way downtown again.

It feels like the start of a new chapter for all of us.

A little different than before, of course. New rhythms. New faces. New stories waiting to unfold. But the heart of it is still here — The warmth. The raised glasses. The great food. The familiar faces finding their way back, and the new ones giving us another reason to keep going.

Here’s to carrying the good memories with us, and making room for everything still ahead. 🧡🍺
