🐸 This weekend was HOT, but B&P was still HOPPIN’!

Summer apparently decided it wasn’t finished with us yet.

It was hot, humid and gross out there. It was the kind of weather that makes leaving the house feel like a questionable decision. 🥵

And yet… you all kept showing up!

The bar stayed busy, the dining rooms filled up, and somehow another sweltering weekend turned into a really lovely one.

So, from this little ceramic frog and all of us at B&P: thanks for braving the heat and spending part of your weekend with us. ❤️

Now, somebody please tell September to start acting like September. 🥴

After one of our busiest weekends in quite a while, it feels especially fitting to share that there’s about to be a little more Bakery & Pickle to go around! 👀🎉

📣 Starting this week, we’ll now be open on Wednesdays!

🛍️ Our little "antique shop" is also becoming a functional marketplace, featuring a curated selection of artisanal treasures to elevate your daily life with a rotating selection of provisions and other goodies to bring home.

We’ll be sharing a closer look at what we'll have in store in the days and weeks to come.

Thank you for giving us room to grow.
We'll see you all this Wednesday! ❤️🍾

🥖 EIGHT YEARS OF BAKERY & PICKLE 🥒

This weekend, we celebrated eight years of Bakery & Pickle.

Our team first moved into this building eleven years ago. Then known as Epiphany on Main, the space provided walk-in refrigeration and additional prep space for Epiphany Farms and Anju Above.

The mission was simple:
Bake bread and make pickles.

Baking our own bread ensures that our baked goods reflect the same care and quality as the food grown on our farm. It also allows us to use local grains and long, cold ferments for better flavor. Pickling helps us preserve more of each season’s harvest and ensure that as little as possible goes to waste.

At its core, that remains Bakery & Pickle’s key role within Epiphany Farms.

Inspired by the social dining culture of Spanish pintxos, the space evolved into a venue for tasting menus, private dinners, and events.

In 2018, a major renovation added our signature "speakeasy" aesthetic, the antique shop, and a doorway hidden behind a secret wall. Bakery & Pickle officially opened.

Since then, we’ve weathered a pandemic, expanded into à la carte dining and a more relaxed atmosphere, and continued to adapt and evolve.

Keeping a speakeasy alive depends on people finding it and telling others where to look. For eight years, this community has done exactly that.

Thank you for continuing to support us as we grow and change. As always, we’ll keep baking bread and making pickles. ❤️🥖🥒

This weekend left us feeling especially grateful.

After a storm that turned so much upside down across our community, we were fortunate to keep our doors open. Our staff showed up and did their best, even while carrying worries about their own homes and loved ones. Those who could make it out joined us for dinner, a date, or simply a comfortable place to decompress and find a little solace.

By Saturday night, the bar was full and the dining rooms were humming. After such a disruptive start to the weekend, it felt good to see people gathering.

We’re so grateful for everyone who helped us carry on, and we’re thinking of those still cleaning up and finding their footing. Thank you all for giving us a sense of steadiness in the midst of so much uncertainty.

Take care of yourselves and each other. ❤️
