Our Food Hubs aren't just a Bakehouse bread stand anymore. Walk in and you'll find Hinks BBQ Sauce, gelato from Goat & Pail, meats from Abundant Pastures, milk from Kilgus Farmstead, and more, all sitting alongside the CIB bread and pastries you already know.

Every one of those makers started out selling at a farmers market table just like the ones outside our doors. We like giving them a second spot to reach people, and giving you a reason to meet a new producer every time you stop by.

Saturday at both hubs: Bloomington, 212 N Center St, 7am-2pm.

It's soup season, and we've got the bread for it.
Central Illinois Bakehouse's Yukon Garlic Sourdough is loaded with roasted whole cloves of garlic and chunks of Yukon Gold potatoes, folded right into their classic sourdough. Hearty, savory, and the kind of loaf that makes you want to make soup just to have an excuse to eat it.

Central Illinois Bakehouse's Almond Croissant starts as their classic flaky croissant, gets dipped in simple syrup and filled with almond paste, then baked a second time and topped with more almond paste, sliced almonds, and powdered sugar. Worth setting an alarm for.

Saturday morning plans: our Food Hubs are open rain or shine, right alongside the farmers markets in Bloomington and Springfield.

Bloomington: 212 N Center St, store open 7am-2pm, Downtown Bloomington Farmers Market runs 7:30am-12pm right outside.
Springfield: 308 E Adams St, store open 8am-2pm, Old Capitol Farmers Market runs 8am-12:30pm.

Two croughnut flavors this month. Snap, Crackle, Croughnut: our classic croughnut topped with fluffy vanilla marshmallow glaze, toasted cinnamon Rice Krispies, and chunks of milk chocolate.

And Blackberry Cobbler: the same flaky croughnut topped with a creamy blackberry glaze and a brown butter cobbler crumble.

We just got word that Center st will be open for driving through. What does that mean for you- us?
We will still have all of our breads out under the canopy. You can pull up and park on the street and make the short walk to our store and Candice Anderson, CFD, ICPF 🥐 This is actually making things easier for you!

Good morning Bloomington Normal!

It’s been a rough week. Heck, it’s been a rough morning. Ya’ll have been taking a beating from the weather. We hope that you have been safe.

We have some good news- our dungeon fencescape vibe is over, yay.

Fresh bread and pastries made it over this morning from Champaign. We will be open today till 2pm. So take it slow this morning. Be careful traveling around town. The Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market is starting an hour later today at 8:30am.

My favorite people are at the farmers market 💕

As I was scrolling through memory lane in my bread album looking for that one photo of the PBJ croughnut, I thought I would highlight a few of my favorite things.
Of course our croughnuts- last call on PBJ and Birthday cake fyi! But let’s not forget the rosemary olive ciabatta, Paczki, the baked on cheese goodness of an Asiago sourdough bagel, the huge cinnamon roll made with croissant dough, cheese and cherry filled danish, and the classic artisan sourdoughs- that just go with everything.
These are a few of my favorite bakehouse goodies - what keeps you coming back to the market?

Tomorrow morning we will be open 7-2 - come early for the best selection.
