🥬 🥦 Look at this heavenly cornucopia of local veggies!

The high quality of our ingredients is extremely important to us and an absolute core value. Rust Mountain Farm is growing some of the best vegetables and it’s even better that they are right down the mountain!

We are turning these beauties into a lovely weekend feature - Charred Broccolini with hakurei turnips, goat cheese, sesame & seaweed.

Can’t wait to see you all this weekend.
Dinner service starts at 4pm 🕓

PS - You can find Rust Mountain at the Old Fort Farmers Market on Saturday mornings 😊

PPS - Love our shish*to pepper starter? YEP that’s them!

👋 A little reintroduction to us if you’re new on here. 👋

Jake and Ali Whitman met working in restaurants, and much of their life together has been rooted in the Black Mountain and Asheville restaurant scene. In late 2025, they opened Bev’s with a vision for a creative, fine-dining take on the classic steakhouse.

🔪 Jake has been a chef in the area for more than 25 years, working in many of Asheville’s staple restaurants before opening Bev’s, his third restaurant. Bev’s Steak, fondly known as Bev’s, is named for his late grandmother, Beverly. His early memories of cooking family meals with her sparked his passion for food, and the restaurant is his way of honoring her.

🖼️ Ali is the driving force behind much of Bev’s guest experience, design, and marketing. A Black Mountain native, she spent years in hospitality and the art world, advising collectors and managing galleries, before moving into real estate. Alongside Jake, she carefully developed every aspect of Bev’s, from sourcing vintage furnishings and creating an intimate atmosphere to shaping a style of service centered on warmth and connection.

You will often see our son Otto running around the restaurant hard at work 😉

Thanks for following our story 🖤 and supporting our restaurant.

FEATURED this Week
🥬 Grilled Raddichio Salad with asher blue cheese, butternut squash, spiced pecan,
caramelized lime, and fish sauce 🥬

Fall flavors unite in this crisp salad. Keep it all veggies or we recommend pairing this with the À la carte Pork Pluma Steak for a fabulous combination of rich and tangy flavors.

🍽️ grab your people and book a table with the link in our bio.

Friday night calls for a 16 oz grass-fed, hand-cut ribeye from Brasstown Beef 🥩🔥

Pairing it the classic way with a glass of Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat — bold, structured, built for a cut this rich.

Or go out on a limb with us and try it alongside a Pinia Orange Vermentino. Yes — orange w**e with a ribeye. Unconventional? Absolutely. But that signature sharpness softens right up against all that marbling, and what you’re left with is something unexpectedly perfect.
