Four tables finished up and delivered. 2 slabs of Nogal (Peruvian Walnut) ended up making one sofa table and a shelf, and the top of two end tables. The shelves in the end tables are Nogal as well, but weren’t slabs to start with. The coffee table is a Guanacaste cookie that I had Brandon with szuch_design cut a recess into the top for a glass insert. Everything is finished in Rubio Monocoat pure.

It’s going to be a hot one today, so what am I doing? Teaching a group how to turn a bowl using Easy Wood Tools. Easy Wood Tools are fantastic tools for any experience level of turner but really shiny for beginners. I can’t wait to see what this massive chunk of Amboyna Burl looks like after turning and finishing.

January 1, we found a leak in our reverse osmosis system, and after assessing damage we filed a claim with our homeowners insurance. They approved it, and sent out a mitigation team. They did everything they could and were supposed to do. After 10 or so days they were finished and turned me over to the remodel side of the same company. I never had a great feeling about the remodel side of things and ended up firing them the day before they were supposed to start demo, for misleading communications. After interviewing a couple other contractors I decided to go it alone. In all of this I’ve learned that festool_usa needs to come up with a cup holder for the TG-LHS 225. 😂
