Yim Siam Thai·Sunday, January 28, 2018·
Pon Wright opened Yim Siam Thai in June of 2015 in a food trailer at the Bismarck KOA campground. Business quickly grew, and in September of that same year, it was apparent that there would be a need for more a permanent location. She remodeled and installed a commercial kitchen, and has been sharing her authentic creations ever since. Pon’s love of cooking

began as a young girl in Thailand where she learned Thai cooking from her Mother. She began assisting the head chef of a Thai resort in Pattaya, who she would accompany to the local market to select all the fresh ingredients needed for their menu. The resort she worked at catered to Thai nationals, which required her to learn to prepare cuisine from all areas of Thailand. This experience helped her learn all the varied cooking techniques she would need to become a chef at the resort herself. Pon is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her expertise and love of cooking right here in Bismarck. You simply will not find any more authentic Thai food in this area.
