Wow, what an incredible Egyptian Night at Warren Peace Cafe! We packed the house and enjoyed one of the most successful events in our café’s history.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our customers and friends who joined us and made the evening such a memorable success. Your support means the world to us.
Special thanks go out to our amazing staff, Becky, Hannah, and Tanya—whose hard work helped make the event run so smoothly. We’d also like to give special recognition to Tanya’s husband, Ahmed Abdelrehim, who prepared an authentic Egyptian feast that delighted our guests and brought a true taste of Egypt to Bisbee.
We are grateful for this wonderful community and for everyone who helped make the evening so special. Much love to you all!
I’ll close with a speech Hannah wrote and presented during the event:
“At Warren Peace Café, our name has always carried a deeper meaning..a reminder that every day, each of us faces our own quiet battles, our own war on peace. Life can be loud, demanding, unpredictable. But when we gather, when we share food, when we choose compassion over judgment and connection over isolation, we push back against that noise. We reclaim a little more harmony.
Tonight’s Egyptian Dinner Night is part of that mission.
We chose Egypt not only because its cuisine is rich, vibrant, and rooted in ancient tradition, but because Egyptian culture understands something essential: peace is created through people. Through hospitality. Through generosity. Through the simple act of sitting together at a table and sharing what we have.
Egypt is one of the world’s oldest civilizations..a place where community has always been the heartbeat of daily life. From the Nile Valley to the bustling markets of Cairo, Egyptians have long believed that food is not just nourishment, but a bridge. A way to welcome strangers. A way to honor family. A way to keep stories alive.
The dishes you’re enjoying tonight carry centuries of history..African, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern influences woven together into flavors that comfort, energize, and connect. But the food is only part of the story.
Tonight is about us..this community, this café, this moment.
It’s about remembering that peace isn’t something we wait for. It’s something we build.
Together.
With compassion.
With presence.
With shared meals and shared humanity.
At Warren Peace Café, we believe that every gathering is an opportunity to soften the world a little. To remind one another that we belong somewhere. That we matter to each other. That even in a small town, we can celebrate cultures far beyond our own and honor the beauty they bring into our lives.
So thank you for being here.. for supporting this café, for supporting one another, and for choosing connection in a world that often pulls us apart. May tonight’s meal remind us that peace grows wherever people come together with open hearts.
And may we continue, in our own ways, to win the quiet war on our peace..one shared table, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time.”
