The Parlor at Bayonet
Some of our favorite details at Bayonet come with a story, and many of them were created by friends. When we were putting together The Parlor, we wanted it to feel collected rather than decorated. A room filled with pieces that have meaning, made by people whose work we’ve admired for years.
Our friend, chef and artist Roscoe Hall created the two paintings that hang in the room. Un Amor Bonito (Beautiful Love) centers around the bayonet plant and the idea of gathering around a table: food, community, resilience and Southern hospitality. Doing Too Much is Roscoe’s celebration of hospitality as an art form and the quiet beauty of serving others.
Longtime friend and craftsman John Howell also helped bring so much of Bayonet to life, from the towering glass wall that separates The Parlor from the restaurant to our host stand, bar, outdoor sign and more. His work is woven throughout the space.
The Parlor was always meant to be a gathering place, and seeing it filled with people is still our favorite way to see it. A cocktail with friends, drinks with colleagues or a larger gathering. It’s a room meant to be shared, and we hope you’ll make a few memories here, too. Cheers. 🥂
