This weekend is another Sunday Supper Club - this time with special guests Wil Drake and Paul Yeck!
Wil Drake is a Birmingham chef and restaurateur who began his career in pastry kitchens, barbecue restaurants, and burger joints before working in London and studying whole animal butchery in Ireland. He started HERO Doughnuts as a pop-up, selling brioche doughnuts at farmers markets and record stores, and grew it into a restaurant brand. Wil lives in Bluff Park with his wife, daughter, and their 75-pound pitty.
Chef Paul Yeck grew up in Oxford, MS where meals with his family made him aware of the strong connections that can be made at the table. His love of those memories and the food that bound him to them was the catalyst for his career in the culinary arts. Attending the French Culinary Institute and working in kitchens in New York City and Brooklyn, Paul learned essential skills before taking a position with Chef Jose Andres in Washington, DC where he worked from 2009-2013. Eager to return to the South, Paul moved to Birmingham, AL to become the Chef de Cuisine at Bottega Dining Room and Café. Paul began to see exciting changes in the culinary landscape around him when he decided to shift from the fine dining model to partner with PRG as their Executive Chef. Paul and his wife live in Birmingham with their three children.
Alongside Adam Green and Stephen Moody, the pair founded Greenhouse Hospitality in 2025 and brought Wil's original HERO location back under a new name, Full Circle Doughnuts. The team also opened New Shoes Soft Serve, a neighborhood shop built around playful flavors and local ingredients, also located in Homewood. Through Greenhouse, Wil and Paul are growing their own concepts while sharing their experience and resources with other hospitality businesses.
We're so excited to have this pair take over our kitchen and share some delicious food! Stay tuned for the menu!
