Chez Fonfon is a cozy, casual French bistro that transfers you to Paris, Lyons or Nice. Opened in 2000 by Pardis and Frank Stitt, Chez Fon Fon is a bustling bistro serving classic, hearty French fare: steak tartare, moules frites, sautéed trout with brown butter, escargots, and homemade charcuterie. We offer the most delicious wines, chosen for their value and typicity, from the Loire, Rhône and L

anguedoc. Patrick Dunne (of Lucullus fame) is responsible for the decor, including authentic elements such as the French Belle Epoque café tables and 100 year old etched glass door from Lyons. The marble wainscoting and mahogany paneling for the bar were rescued out of a glorious old Birmingham office building. Stop by for a quick snack, sumptuous meal or a glass of wine. Maybe even a game of boule in our courtyard—we’ll help you keep score.

Champagne A. Margaine Brut, 1er Cru.
For almost 20 years, we’ve been sharing Arnaud Margaine’s story at our restaurants. Now, fifth‑generation winemaker Mathilde Margaine and her father work together to carry on the family legacy. They craft Champagne rooted in place, history, and a unique clone of Chardonnay found only in Villers‑Marmery.
Available by the glass.

Bandol, a dreamy landscape between Marseille and Toulon, is famous for its Mourvèdre-based wines. Domaine Tempier is one of the purest expressions of this terroir, producing some of the most compelling and soulful wines of France. There is a wild and rustic edge to these wines that we had the opportunity to experience first-hand. Years ago, on a Kermit Lynch wine adventure to Domaine Tempier, we were led through a tasting of the single vineyard wines in their cellar. Afterward, we were all fortunate enough to enjoy a meal prepared by the cooking queen of Provence, Lulu Peyraud, and the Marseillaise classic—Bouillabaisse—with several cool bottles of Bandol rosé.

The wines of Domaine Tempier have established a cult following for many reasons, but one thing is for sure—they stand out as the proud benchmark of Provençal wines.
