Good news for all our Fall Break adventurers visiting River Inn!
California State Parks Big Sur is reopening Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park to the public on Friday, October 16th.

Many of Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park’s popular areas and facilities—like Buzzards Roost Trail, the River Path, the Nature Trail, and the Campfire Center—are accessible once again.

There are still fire-related closures in the park and across Big Sur. Please respect and follow these closures to keep yourself and our community safe.

Chef Adan’s prime rib was once only available for special events and holidays, but it has become a welcome tradition in our Thursday rotation. Nothing quite like a hearty plate adorned with garlic mashed potatoes and horseradish cream sauce.

Thanks to the hard work of Caltrans and fire crews, Highway 1 has fully reopened! We are here to welcome you home after your adventures traveling the coast.

Big Sur is recovering, fire crews are still working, and both the Timber and Plaskett fires are smoldering. Travel with care, support local businesses along the coast, and keep Big Sur safe💙

Update from River Inn - Friday, August 28th
Big Sur River Inn is currently closed and evacuated due to Timber Fire operations. We would like to thank our staff for their quick response and for buttoning up the property for the closure.

Our dedicated Inn Manager is linked into our reservation system and able to respond to guests about upcoming reservations. Please reply to your reservation confirmation via text or email for assistance.

These fires are dynamic and changing daily, but we are receiving constant updates and will do our best to keep all of our guests informed as well. We very much look forward to reopening once the shelter-in-place and evacuation orders are downgraded and Highway One is open again. We are so very grateful to all of the crews working hard to protect our beloved Big Sur community as they fight the Timber and Plaskett Fires.
