No brewing this week because we have a repair to make on our firebox. Tomorrow we’ll be working with our welder to get things back in order. We made a trip to Little Rock for errands and stopped into Buckman Brewing in Cabot. We did a big sampler and dinner. We didn’t know they have a c***r on tap, as well as several fruit-accented brews. We had the orange cream ale before we headed home.

Last week we got in two batches of Oat of Sight Oat of Mind Scottish Ale with all of the brew crew, and checked Rock-A-Billy and Oktoberfest. We should be kegging that soon, but Rock-A-Billy’s gonna need more time. We got Sarah to help with kegging last week, too!

The weather has turned cooler, yay! While we haven’t tapped out of anything yet, several brews are getting close. Come out and join us in toasting the cooler temps and hoping for rain!

Boy, been a while since we posted! Got some things done at the house, though, and celebrated some birthdays. Anyway, we decided it had been too long since we brewed a batch of Rock-A-Billy Imperial Red Ale. So the whole brew bunch came in to get it done. It was fun, and we had a great brew day. Bill’s also been adding to the b**r memorabilia at Gravity.

We‘re coming into festival season. The folks at Polk and Paddle in Batesville will host the Arkansas Brewers Guild on Sept. 19 in the Pocket Park downtown. October 3 brings ARKtoberfest in Mtn. Home, hosted by the folks at Rapps Barren. October 10 brings Little Rocktoberfest with the Central Arkansas Fermenters. Saturday, October 17, is the NWA Oktoberfest in Downtown Rogers Entertainment District. And October 31 is Gravity’s 13th anniversary!

We were lucky enough to get rain this past Sunday, and we’re hoping we get lucky again this week. In the meantime, we’ve been wetting (whetting?) our whistles with Bohemian Rhapsody Pilsner and Skippin’ Stones SIPA. The last of the Kolsch from the Cold is on tap but we’ve got more in the fermenter. Come out and join us!

After a short break, we got back in the brewhouse today, brewing a 2.5 bbl batch of Kolsch from the Cold. We’ll get in the second half tomorrow, along with finishing up the Lime’s Up Gose and the Berliner Weiss. Bill also had to work on one of the chilling units and parts have been ordered.

We got the news about Dolly Parton’s passing in the middle of our brew day. She was a true light and we could sure stand to have more folks like her. RIP, Dolly, we’ll always love you.

We’ve got our Bohemian Rhapsody Pilsner on tap, along with Cloud Nine Hazy IPA and Skippin’ Stones session IPA. Nepthys Hefeweizen is still hanging in there. Celestiale is waiting in the wings. Stay hydrated, everyone!

Lots of fun last Saturday! The gose dropped in pH enough to finish the wort and get it into the fermenter. Once we were done, we heard that our Norwegian patrons were on the patio. We visited with them and were offered a soccer jersey for the brewery! Then our friends Danielle and Mark showed up from Texas to finish out our day! Pretty awesome all the way round! We finished brewing Oktoberfest on Tuesday.

We got the Skippin’ Stones SIPA on tap this week. The Brahma Fear and Summertime Brew are hanging in there, so if those are your faves, you should home and get them!

The Brew Crew got their canning vibe on Monday and packaged most of a batch of Wham Bam. We got to see and taste the fruits of their labor once we came back with brewing sanitizer. Thanks Mitch, Sarah, and Brent! On Wednesday we began a batch of Gose with Ethan. The guys are checking the pH of the Gose; hopefully it will be ready to finish on Friday.

We decided to get Skippin’ Stones SIPA on tap, so we pulled the Sojourner for now. Brahma Fear IPA is still hanging in there. Heat advisories are on so stay hydrated!

We did three brews this week. Brian English came up on Sunday to brew his Berliner Weiss with us, and also brought some of his Altbier. We had a good brew day and a great time catching up. On Monday and Wednesday we brewed a 5 bbl batch of Celestiale with Chuck, Mitch, and Ethan.

We’ve got our Kolsch back on tap after a short hiatus. Brahma Fear is still got it it won’t be long before it taps out. We also put on a plum saison this week. With heat advisories and major high temps, we hope everyone is staying hydrated!

It’s been a little subdued on both brew days this week. We got in two batches of our Brown-Eyed Girl as well as another piece of metal down in the back walk-in. For you Kolsch from the Cold fans, it’s back on tap this week.

Some of you may know that we lost a patron, friend, and co-worker on Sunday. Buddy Thomas and his fiancee Mindy Mayfield perished in a house fire. They had recently moved back to Mtn. View and we were looking forward to catching up with them. I don’t think Buddy ever met a stranger. We’re going to miss them.

Got in two good brew days this week with Chuck, Mitch and Ethan; making a batch of our Czech-style Pilsner. We also got more work done on the floor of the back walk-in, preparing for another cold liquor tank.

We‘re working on getting our Kolsch from the Cold carbed and kegged. In the meantime, we have Summertime Brew, Nepthys Hefeweizen, and Hibiscus Saison on tap.

Just wanted to say that we’re open this weekend at Gravity. We’re doing our usual hours, 12 noon to 8 pm; that should give folks time to get a growler or three and make it to wherever they’re going on this fine weekend. Stay hydrated, folks!
