This is Jamie! ✨ Our employee spotlight for this month!
You probably recognize Jamie if you have ever visited the food truck, however, her history with the farm goes back much further! Jamie started working on the farm back in ‘01 when the restaurant first opened. She started out as a hostess, then a cashier, and then eventually moved on to waitressing! She recalls that before the restaurant opened, she got to taste test the food, and what a neat experience that was!
About six years ago, when we first got the food truck, Jamie knew that she wanted to move over to that department. She has been there ever since and plans to retire in that position!
Jamie reminisced on loving her days as a waitress, but felt ready for a change and was excited when the opportunity to help in the food truck became available. She told me it was an honor to be the employee spotlight this month, but she feels it is very important to recognize everyone who works in the food truck with her! Jamie stated how much of a team effort it is to run the food truck.
Working on the farm for Jamie is literally a family affair! So many family members work at the farm, with some even working right alongside her in the food truck. She explains that everyone at the farm feels like family, related or not!
When asking Jamie what her favorite part about working on the farm is, she said the atmosphere here is just so unique and something really special! Her favorite part about working in the food truck specifically is getting to speak to so many people coming through her window. Jamie said you would think that most people would be from here, but it is really cool to see so many people at the farm from all different states! She expressed how much she loves her job working in the food truck and that it is important that every person who comes through the window is able to see and feel that!
