A New Beginning!

Thirty-five years ago, exactly on December 20, 1989, I was invited by a dear friend Adam Riess who happened to be working with me at a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan called Orso to come and visit a beautiful little Trattoria situated on the southern corner of Lake Waramaug New Preston, Connecticut
Right from the beginning I fell in love with a Very picturesque, quiet, and majestic little town and the whole area overall
It has been a lifetime full of adventures, appreciation, and gratitude
we met and made lots of friends, great customers, and neighbors, and became a part of a beautiful community and home for us
All started at Docs Tratoria for six years, then Oliva specialized in Mediterranean cuisine for 17 more years to the latest adventure Oliva On Main in the little town of Bethlehem Connecticut for 10 more years.
Our main goal of moving to Bethlehem is to focus on building up the products aspect of the business and we believe after hard work that time has come and we are ready to give and devote our attention towards the production part of our business and in the meantime to have available our elegant dining space and our cuisine experience towards catering events on and off-premises

We couldn't be more grateful for all the support and kindness we received during our journey

December 15, 2024, will be our last day of Restaurant service.

Please join us for any of your special occasions, Birthday Parties, Graduation, Rehursaul Dinners, Wedding, or just a gathering among friends to celebrate it at Oliva on Main, and we will be offering a big selection of cuisines and specials, reflecting the 35 years of experience to meet whatever your heart desires from Docs years to the present time and more.!

We cannot thank you enough, for your support and friendship, for being part of our life, and for making us part of your life throughout the past 35 years
