Let’s make Berlin the place to be! ⚡️
I sat down with a group of local business owners last night, and we all want the same thing.
We want Berlin to be packed. We want it prospering. We want people driving into this town on a Friday night and having to look for a parking spot.
Everybody talks about the other towns. Ripon. Green Lake. Princeton. Everybody has a reason why it works there. But there's nothing they have that we couldn't build here. We've got the buildings, we've got the people, we've got the location. What it takes is everybody rallying together and actually owning it. Not a few of us. All of us.
Here's the honest part. That doesn't happen on its own. It happens when the people who live here choose to spend their money here. Every time you eat local, shop local, grab a drink local, you're voting for what this town looks like in ten years. When your kids are raising their own families here, Berlin is going to be whatever we built for them.
When you spend money with us, it doesn't disappear into some corporate account three states away. It stays here. It pays people who live on your street. It supports the place you call home and take pride in.
And look, I know life is busy. If you don't have time to sit down and wait, call ahead. Order online. Grab it to go and eat it in your truck. That still counts. That still helps. Call us and ask for something wild we've never made before, I don't care, we'll figure it out. We want the business and we want Berlin to win.
I'm tired of hearing about what Berlin used to be. I'd rather live in the version where people say Berlin is the place to be.
And I don't just mean us. I mean every bar, every restaurant, every shop on Main. We need all of them to make it. Losing one hurts all of us, and a town with more going on brings more people in for everybody. I want to open up more things for this community to do, but that only works if the businesses already here are strong enough to hold it up.
So before you drive out to a chain this week, look around town first. Doesn't have to be Grizzys. Just go somewhere local.
This is our town. Let's act like it.
