Dear Chazzano Coffee Community,
Throughout the Jewish High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah through Hoshana Rabba, Jews around the world pray to G-d and ask forgiveness, and we also ask our friends, family, and co-workers to forgive us for anything that we might have done to hurt them during the last year. The entire Jewish holiday season is about changing for the better- finding the best version of ourselves for the coming year. We’re not perfect- nobody’s perfect.
All of the coffee that I purchase is specialty coffee which is expertly picked, sorted, and processed and has a very low percentage of defects. Less than 10% defects is what classifies it as specialty coffee. Sometimes, I see a coffee trader offering less than perfect coffee that is a combination of several farms, and I immediately purchase it. Some of my favorites coffees have been less than perfect in appearance before roasting and absolutely perfect after roasting. We now have four coffees from Nicaragua, Nobody’s Perfect 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0. I roasted NP 1 & 2 so far. I’m trying to have some semblance of self control and not roast all four Nobody’s Perfect coffees. They are amazing. Here are the flavor notes:
Nobody’s Perfect 1.0: Tastes like banana bread, cola, grapes, and dark chocolate. $27/pound
Nobody’s Perfect 2.0: Notes of chocolate graham cracker, pomegranate, blueberries, and orange zest. $27/pound
To show that I really have no self-control, we also have Nicaragua Josefina & Mario’s Yellow Peach Microlot and Nicaragua Washed Peaberry.
The Yellow Peach microlot has notes of apple pie, cinnamon, and peaches. $32/ pound
The Nicaragua Peaberry has notes of graham cracker, red apple and toasted marshmallow. $26/pound
Within the week, we’re receiving another ton of green unroasted coffee beans. I’ll update you soon!
