It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of someone who was so much more than an employee to us. Manny was family.
For over 30 years, Manny walked through the doors of Foster Village and became such an important part of who we are. He was there through countless busy days, holidays, celebrations, changes, and memories. For so many of us, it is hard to imagine Foster Village without Manny being here.
He was, for many years, the face of our deli. But to us, he was so much more than that. He was a familiar face, a hardworking teammate, a friend, and someone we could always count on. He gave so much of himself to this store and to the people who walked through our doors.
There are simply no words that can capture what Manny meant to us. Thirty years is a lifetime of memories. We remember the long days, the laughs, the conversations, the customers he knew by name, and all the little moments that made Manny who he was. Those are the memories we will hold onto.
As owners and staff, we are incredibly grateful that we had the privilege of knowing Manny, working alongside him, and calling him one of our own. His absence will be felt every single day. There will be moments when we look toward the deli and expect to see him there, and it will be hard to accept that he isn't.
Manny, thank you for giving more than 30 years of your life to Foster Village. Thank you for your hard work, your loyalty, your friendship, and for becoming such an important part of our family. You left an imprint on this store and on all of us that will never go away.
Our deepest love and sympathy go out to Manny’s family and everyone who loved him. We hope they find some comfort in knowing just how loved and appreciated Manny was here, and how many people will carry his memory with them.
Please keep Manny, his family, and all of us at Foster Village in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve the loss of someone who meant so much to us.
We will miss you, Manny. More than words can say.
Forever a part of the Foster Village family. ❤️
