4+ years in business has taught me A LOT. Some lessons came easy, and some I definitely had to learn the hard way 😂 But when I think about the kind of business owner I want to be, these are a few things I’ll always pride myself on:

Being an understanding boss
My employees are my pride and joy. They kept the shop running when I was away or didn’t have enough hands. They’ve stepped up BIG time!

Moving quick
No one likes waiting for their food or drinks at a restaurant. We move quickly and efficiently. Time is money. The longer someone has to wait, the more annoyed they get, and the more likely they are to walk away.

Always adjusting
Life throws some major curve balls and when you are working an event there is ALWAYS something that’s going to go wrong. Being able to be quick on your feet and figure out a solution is a must. Things will almost never be perfect, so just make the best out of what you have.

Owning a business definitely isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about learning, adjusting, taking care of your people and continuing to get better as you go. And after 4+ years of Chug, I’m pretty proud of how far we’ve come🥤🩵

As a business owner, success is always what you’re chasing.

“When I can get ___ bookings a month, everything will work out.”
“When I hit ____ in sales, I’ll finally feel successful.”
“If I can just get ____ customers, I’ll know I made it.”

But no one really prepares you for what it can take to get there.

The early mornings before your 9–5. Working during your kids’ soccer games. The people you lose along the way. The guilt of wondering if you’re giving too much to your business and not enough to your family. The burnout. The moments you genuinely wonder if any of it is worth it.

I’d be lying if I said that thought hasn’t crossed my mind hundreds of times over the last four years.

I’m incredibly proud of what Chug has become. I’m grateful for every event, every customer, every line at the van and every person who has supported this little idea that some people once told me was “just a fad.”

But I think one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that success isn’t just about how big you can grow something. It’s also about building a life you actually get to enjoy.

So yes, I feel incredibly lucky.

But there’s a whole lot of the story behind that “luck” that most people never saw. 🩵🥤

That’s a recap on this year’s Prairie Grove Clothesline Fair and it may go down in history as the best one yet 💃🏻🥤

We had an amazing show! With a little extra preparation (and a fully stocked extra enclosed trailer), we only had to do one restock 😂 hundreds of dirty sodas made, sold out of cookies, and y’all loved the cotton candy cloud 🍭☁️ AND my daughters square dance group won the square dancing competition!! They made history as were the youngest group in 20 years to win 🏆 💃🏻

We truly love coming to this show. Since it’s in the town in I grew up, I love to call it our hometown show. To see all the familiar faces. To see all the kids I remember as babies dancing in the square dance competition, including my own daughter. It really does feel like classic small-town America. It feels like time moves slower when you’re making great memories like this. It reminds us all that the good old days aren’t gone just yet.

Hallmark I think we found the town for your next movie 🫶🏻
