Road the storm to Americamps BBQ Throwdown in Ashland, VA this weekend. Double header with a Frisay night one meat challenge where we lucked up with 2nd place Chicken call using an old recipe that I’d not cooked in 4 years. Maybe switching soon. Day 1 is on!

The KCBS World invitational BBQ Invitational is in the books. Congrats to Drew Razorracks BBQ on the GC and to Charles and Dawn Glamping Grillers Competition BBQ Team on their RGC

We went:
4th Chicken Perfect 180
Made Judges mad with Ribs
Made Judges confused with Pork
4th Place Brisket Perfect 180
16th place Overall.

Can’t say anything more than we love the world championship competitions and look forward to our next in Oct at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue!

1st contest of the year here at BBQ Gives Back KCBS Contest in gorgeous Urbanna, Virginia. Loads of east coast killas ready, willing and able to win today and tomorrow.

Knocked the dust off the smokers last night with a 11h place Chicken and 13th place Rib call. Generous in my opinion given how many mistakes I made.

Let’s get it. Day 1 starts now!
