City of Benjamin Residents,
Please ONLY use Dumpsters assigned to you. Republic furnishes three 3-yard dumpsters, one at City Park, one at Ex Students Building, and one at the lake, for overflow. The City of Benjamin pays for two 3 yards on the City Yard. All other 1.5 yards and 3 yards around town are paid for by individual Residents, those are their personal dumpsters that they pay for. If you have overflow every week you may need to consider getting yourself a bigger dumpster. You can call City Hall to discuss options at 940 459-3131. This policy also applies to any and all roll-off construction dumpsters around town. If you need access to the City Dumpster after hours or weekends, please call 940 256-3962, and someone will come unlock the yard.
Note that using someone else's dumpster without permission carries the same penalties as illegally dumping the same amount of solid waste. Using someone else's dumpster without permission can also be prosecuted under Texas Penal Code 31.04.
