Some celebrations are just a little extra special. ❤️

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating the wedding of Sarah & George Benjamin!

Sarah is a former member of our Forge crew, which made getting to be part of their big day even sweeter.

From the ceremony beneath the trees to the incredible food, flowers, and all the wonderfully whimsical details, it was a day full of love and personality.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin! 🥂🍂 We’re so happy we got to celebrate with you!

Well, that was a whole lot of fun! 🍇🎨

We brought a few hundred pounds of meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies, flowers, and whatever else we could get our hands on to the Edom Art Festival and turned it into a 20-foot charcuterie masterpiece!

What we didn’t expect was to become a live art demonstration ourselves. 😂 The number of folks who stopped to watch, ask questions, and see what on earth we were doing was just about as much fun as putting the whole thing together!

A little food, a little art, and a whole lot of creativity. Right up our alley.

A big thank you to the Edom Art Festival for having The Forge! We had an absolute blast. 🖤

THIS WEEK AT THE FORGE 🍂

October has officially entered the chat, and we’re kicking it off with three nights of live music and three completely different reasons to come hang out in Ben Wheeler.

🎶 THURSDAY 10/1 • MATT BRADSHAW
East Texas singer-songwriter, Americana roots, and the kind of songs that belong in a room with cold b**r and people who actually listen.

🍺 FRIDAY 10/2 • DEAN PAUL WILLEFORD
Texas country, Americana and damn good storytelling. Dean’s got songs about love, bad decisions, drinking, w**d and everything else country music was invented to deal with.

🌙 SATURDAY 10/3 • EVE’S ROAD
And Saturday gets a little strange in the best possible way. Harp. Drums. Loops. Bass. Keys. Alternative rock and shoegaze. Originals mixed with wildly reworked music spanning decades. If you haven’t seen Eve’s Road yet, quit trying to picture it and just come watch them do it.

Saturday’s setup is weather-dependent: If Mother Nature cooperates, Eve’s Road will be outside Under the Live Oaks with a $10 cover. If the weather sends us indoors, they’ll switch gears for an acoustic set inside with NO COVER.

Either way, Eve’s Road is playing. We’re just letting Texas weather decide what flavor. 🌦️🎶

CATFISH CULT IS UPON US. 🐟🔥

The specials drop TODAY at 5PM, right when the gates open for Burning Ben: Catfish Cult.

We’re under a burn ban, so the big burn itself is sitting this year out, but the ritual lives on. We’ve got a symbolic burn-ban-friendly situation, a fire dancer, vendors, drink specials, a truly unreasonable amount of catfish, and live music from Justin Cashion, Tito Strange & Ottoman Turks.

And yes, FREE ENTRY. Come wander in and stay awhile.
