Today would have been Earle Dickinson’s birthday.

Earle poured his heart and soul into making Buena Vista what it is today. He had a vision to create a wholesome, welcoming place for the community and a vision that continues to thrive and bring joy to so many families.

He was a cowboy at heart. He would be so proud and happy to see all the families and generations who continue to cherish his beloved Buena Vista.

His legacy lives on in every memory made, every family gathered, and every trail ridden.

Happy birthday in heaven, Earle. Happy trails until we meet again. 🤠❤️

Buena Vista lost a wonderful person and longtime cherished friend, Wendell Knutson.

If you’ve ever attended any of our events such as Logging Days, Fall Color Rides Festival, ECFE rides, Wagon Train Rides, Tour Group Rides, and Sleigh Rides at the ski area, you’ve probably seen Wendell there. With his team of horses, his wonderful wife Bev, and his hardworking-charming disposition, he was always on deck.

Wendell has always been a big part of the Buena Vista Legacy, and had so many special stories to tell of the past, and kept the logging era and our grandparent’s memories alive. We will miss his friendship, his kindness, and most of all-his presence. Happy Trails, Wendell-until we meet again!
