A long overdue, but very heartfelt, thank you to Ryan and Cheryl Morris at 5 Bines Brewery.

On our grand opening day at SS SUBS, we were overwhelmed with excitement, nerves, gratitude, and honestly... a little bit of chaos. In the middle of all of that, Ryan and Cheryl took the time to send us flowers along with a note congratulating us and wishing us success.

It may seem like a small gesture, but to another small business owner, it meant more than you know.

Small business ownership isn't always easy. There are long days, sleepless nights, unexpected challenges, and moments when you wonder if you're doing any of it right. Having people in your corner who understand that journey makes all the difference.

This is what good people do.

This is what community looks like.

This is what makes small-town business ownership so special.

Ryan and Cheryl, thank you for welcoming us into the small business community with such kindness and encouragement. Your friendship, support, and thoughtfulness have not gone unnoticed. We know firsthand the amount of work, sacrifice, and determination it takes to open and operate a business, which makes your gesture even more meaningful.

And yes, we know this thank you is coming a little late. We opened on April 18th and have been running at full speed ever since. Things have finally slowed down enough for me to catch my breath and reflect on the people who helped make this journey special.

Please know that your kindness was appreciated then, and it's appreciated even more now.

Belvidere is fortunate to have business owners like you who genuinely want to see others succeed.

If you haven't visited 5 Bines Brewery yet, do yourself a favor and stop in. Not only will you find great drinks and a great atmosphere, but you'll be supporting some truly wonderful people.

Due to selling out of our ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls daily, we are excited to announce that we are now accepting pre-orders 🥳 Call us at 815-547-7161 or stop in to place your order by 4pm the day before to ensure that we will have your order ready for the next day!

Our cinnamon rolls will still be available daily, this is just meant to help with those who either want a couple dozen at a time or just to ensure you will get your one or two before we sell out for the day. We absolutely love that they have become a fan favorite, however it means that others are going without which we want to do our best to avoid! Thank you all for your continued and generous support 😊

WOW. What a week 🥹

We owe the biggest thank you to everyone. Everyone who has supported us and carried us through not only our opening day, but our very first week in business 😆 We cannot say thank you enough for your time, energy, generosity and support. You guys showed up for us in the biggest way and we pray you continue to do so. We genuinely appreciate everyone’s kind words and honest reviews, the good and the not so good. We know we are not perfect and have made mistakes, however we are working to make improvements and learn through all of it. We appreciate everyone in their understanding of that. We look forward to continue serving our wonderful community. It’s only the beginning of something great 💛
