Sunday morning, we’re mixing beautifuly silent mind music.

We’re hosting a Meditation Circle on the Fire Street stage. It’s secular, it’s practical, and it’s for anyone. Practiced meditators and total beginners welcome...this is about the practice, not the credentials.

When: Sunday, June 14 · 9:00–10:00 AM
Where: Fire Street Pizza, on the stage
Cost: Free

Three rounds of breathing, three chances to find your rhythm. Between each one, we talk. No silent marathon, no zen theater. Just practice and conversation.
Bring a cushion, a mat, a pillow. something so your b***y won’t get sore.

Jason (host) - I’ve been practicing Anapana / Metta, for 17 years, and Vipassana for the past year. I’ve spent time in silent retreats, workshops and camps, along with 17 years of quiet discovery and I want to bring that same calm into a space where anyone, practiced or brand new, can learn.

No registration. No pressure. Show up or don’t. But if you do, we’ll take it from there. Hope to see you Sunday!

Hate pickles on pizza? Then you’ll despise our latest Chef Special: “The Pickleback" (For limited time)

This abomination starts with a creamy garlic Alfredo sauce, signature 3-cheese blend, and then completely ruining the whole thing with fresh house brined pickles, then wasting smoky bacon to try to make it better. Once it comes out of the oven, it’s finished off with french-fried onions, and fresh chopped dill, like it makes any difference, the damage is done

Even though this blasphemous pie has a superior Neopolitan crust, cold levened at 33f for 4 days, then hand stretched and baked at 900f in a Texas Oak fire - it just can’t be saved.

So feel free to comment on what a terrible ideas this was.

For nearly 30 years, turning into Fire Street from 439 meant white-knuckling the steering wheel, staring at the rearview mirror, and praying that the 20-ton truck bearing down behind you would stop or swerve.
After more than 20 years of seeing the highway widening project sitting on planning committees, the Texas Department of Transportation finally delivered. Got us a turn lane!
We’ve seen more incidents on this highway over the decades than we care to share, and a great many of them would have been completely avoided if there was a turn lane. Now, every single customer, staff member, vendor, and friend has a dedicated, safe lane to pull into.
The anxiety is officially gone. Huge thanks to TxDOT for making this a reality. Our community just got a whole lot safer.
