After much prayer, peace, and trusting the direction God is leading our family, we’ve made the decision to step away from The Homeplace as we transition into a new season of life.

Over the last 5+ years, this little walk-up window and drive thru became so much more than a business to us. It became a place full of familiar faces, conversations through car windows, hurried lunch breaks, encouragement, laughter, and community. We’ve watched friendships form at the ordering window and have seen the kindness and loyalty of this community in ways we’ll never forget.
We are incredibly grateful.

Recently, this verse has stayed heavy on our hearts:
“Let us go on to the neighboring villages so that I may preach there too. This is why I have come.” — Mark 1:38

In this passage, everyone wanted Jesus' miraculous touch. People were gathering for His miracles and healing because what He was doing was good. But Jesus understood that even good things could become distractions if they pulled Him away from His greater purpose. He knew His mission wasn’t ultimately to please people — it was to obey the Father, point people to God and ultimately die for our sins.

This deeply challenged us.

The Homeplace has been a good thing. A really good thing. And we know this decision may disappoint some people, and honestly, that’s hard for us because this community has meant so much to our family. But we also know it wouldn’t glorify God for us to stay somewhere simply because people wanted us to when He is clearly leading us elsewhere.

Jesus had the wisdom and conviction to move forward in obedience, even when others wished He would stay. We are trying to do the same.

This decision isn’t rooted in burnout, frustration, or disappointment. Honestly, we have such a peace about it all. We simply believe the Lord is leading us into a new season, and we want to be obedient to follow wherever He calls next.

We never wanted The Homeplace to be about us. If anything, we hope this chapter points back to the faithfulness of Jesus through every step — the uncertainty, the provision, the growth, the lessons, and the grace we experienced along the way.

Running this business taught us so much about ourselves, our family, hard work, and trusting God daily. We’ll cherish this chapter forever.

To every person who supported our little drive thru and walk-up window over the years: thank you. Thank you for every order, every share, every encouraging word, every prayer, and every time you chose to support us. You made this place meaningful far beyond food.

We are leaving this chapter with full hearts and deep gratitude.

Thank you for loving The Homeplace and our family so well. 🤎

All glory to God!
The Homeplace is closed, hallelujah.
