Bellevue's first and only restaurant to commercially compost its food scraps also bakes its own bread. Can we talk about The Bánh Mì Shop real quick?

Here's how the eco-practices work at the shop:
- Reusable Bumblers for your boba tea cut down on the single-use cup pile.
- Sourcing is local and low-waste wherever they can manage it.
- Cardboard and other materials get recycled with us.
- Food scraps get composted with us.
- They also host a Compost Club drop-off site, so neighbors can divert their food scraps and grab lunch while they're at it.

And of course, the sandwiches are amazing. As we said, they bake their bread in-house, make their own mayo, and pickle their own daikon and carrots.

The Bánh Mì Shop, we appreciate you being a Bellevue trailblazer and keeping your community well-fed.

Years after we open, we realize finding restaurants dedicated and specialized in bánh mì is still a rarity in most places around the US. We’re so proud to serve authentic, made from scratch bánh mì in Bellevue for almost 9 years now 😍

Many times, we have road trip customers who stop by and told us how surprise they are to find an authentic Vietnamese bánh mì place right in the middle of Nebraska. Many people said they make us a must stop for their trips 😍
