Quick little update. ❤️

We actually found another hive floating down the creek today. Mursel found it and was able to get the bees to safety, so that was a little bit of good news in the middle of all of this.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I did start a GoFundMe. We’ve had so many people asking how they can help, so I wanted to have something available.

https://gofund.me/784dad22c

Please know that I do not expect anyone to donate. I know things are hard for so many people right now, and the last thing I ever want to do is make things harder on anyone. If you’re able to and want to help, we’re incredibly grateful. But even sharing our story, stopping into the shop, placing an order, or simply checking in on us means more than you know.

I’m just so overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we’ve received these past few days. I don’t even really have the words for it.

I truly don’t even know how to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love and support you’ve shown us.

We are so incredibly thankful to have such amazing neighbors, friends, customers, and people in our community who have reached out, offered to help, shared our story, and simply reminded us that we aren’t going through this alone.

I’ll be honest, after seeing the devastation and realizing how much we lost, I wanted to give up. I felt completely defeated. But the support we’ve received over the last day is giving me the strength to keep going.

And we do have a little bit of good news — we are going to be able to save a couple of the hives.

A huge thank you to Nancy Scott and Bryan Rice for helping us get to some of the bees that were reachable and doing what we could to save them. Seeing those bees still fighting after everything they’ve been through makes me want to fight for them too.

There is still a lot to figure out, and we know we can’t replace what was lost overnight, but we’re not giving up.

I’ll continue to update everyone as we figure out our next steps.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your kindness has meant more to me and my family than I could ever put into words. 🐝❤️

Today is a really hard one for us. 💔🐝

We lost the majority of our bees in the flooding here in Bellevue. About 90% of our bees were located in Bellevue, with some of our remaining bees in Murray.

The field where our Bellevue hives were located completely flooded, and the water actually picked up and carried hives away. We were able to get a kayak out there to see the damage, and it was absolutely heartbreaking.

Some of the hives are still there and still have bees in them. They’re clinging to the hives trying to survive, but we don’t have a safe or practical way to get a boat out into the flooded field to reach them. We desperately wish there was more we could do.

At this point, we’re also unable to get replacement bees that would have a good chance of making it through the season. This is a devastating loss for us and our little business.

So if you’ve been thinking about stopping in, today would mean more to us than you know. ❤️

Our case is FULL today:

🍨 Pistachio Gelato
🍦 Vanilla Bean Turkish
🍎 Apple Butter Streusel Turkish
🥛 Tart Yogurt Gelato
🍊 Mandarin Sorbet
🍪 Cookie Butter Biscoff Turkish
🍪 Oreo Turkish
🎃 Pumpkin Spice Donut Cheesecake Gelato
🍎 Apple C***r Sorbet
🥥 Passion Fruit Soursop Coconut Sorbet
🥜 Peanut Butter Banana Turkish
🍈 Honeydew Sorbet
🍵 Matcha Turkish
🫐 Blueberry Mascarpone Gelato

🍋 AND in a couple of hours, I’ll have Lemon Curd Meringue Turkish in the case!

We also have:
🍞 4 loaves of fresh sourdough
🥮 Walnut baklava

If you can stop in and grab a treat, a loaf of bread, a jar of honey, or even just share this post, we would be incredibly grateful.

Our bees are where Beauty and the Bees Honey started. They’re not just part of our business—they’re a huge part of our story. Seeing the hives washed away and seeing the bees that survived clinging on has been incredibly difficult.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our family and our small business, especially on days like today. 🐝💛

Hi everyone, we woke up to a horrible site….our bees are underwater. Does anyone have a small boat or something we can borrow to see if we can save any of our bees?
