Well, the Iron Man race is over & we didn’t get to see Michael cross the finish line.

🏊‍♂️ Swimming - disqualified, apparently floaties weren’t allowed, who knew.

🚴‍♂️ Biking - disqualified, apparently having a battery attached is a problem.

🏃‍♂️ Running - well, he didn’t quite make it that far…

🥇 He might not have placed in the race, but he’ll always hold first place ‘round here in slingin’ dough & servin’ smiles.

🏃 Racing to Marketplace deals

Some customers become friends. Some friends become family. To us, that was definitely Sam McNichol.

Back in the 80s, Sam and dad met while working together at Penn State. When dad was looking for a place to put down roots, it was Sam who sold him a piece of land on Zion Back Road.

Sam welcomed our parents into this little community years ago & made it feel like home right from the start. Over the years, we were blessed to have him as our neighbor, our friend, a part of our family.

One of the hardest parts of being part of a small town is saying goodbye to the people who have become part of your story. Our customers become family, and lately we’ve lost far too many of them. Our hearts are with Sam’s family and everyone who loved him.

He will be greatly missed & remembered.

Two brothers who’ve spent their whole lives working side by side, growing up in the shop, learning from family, and still standing shoulder to shoulder looking into the oven all these years later.

And yes… probably still arguing about the best way to make a pizza too. 😂
