I didn’t think I’d have to make this post, but after 5 catering inquiries with almost identical stories, here we are. 🤣

Surprise 40th birthday for the wife, at the uncle’s house, $100+ per person budget, and somehow they’re all conveniently out of town until a week before the event. 🤔
•
My solution? If something feels off, I ask for a cash deposit upfront. Funny how fast the conversation ends.
•
I’m not asking legitimate customers to jump through hoops, but I’m also not wasting my time planning events for people who aren’t real clients.
•
Fellow caterers, protect your time, your business, and your money. Not every inquiry is a real booking! 👨‍🍳💰

Looking back at this photo reminds me just how much experience goes into what I do today.

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on what’s happening at Alloy Kitchen.

First, Alloy Kitchen is currently open for catering!
•
Whether you’re planning a small gathering, office lunch, holiday party, private event, or something bigger, we’d love the opportunity to cook for you. Schedule a free tasting now at:

Reality is: I’m only one person, and I’ve really enjoyed being a Dad these last couple of months.
•
As for dinner service, we are not reopening just yet. I’m currently working on a plan to bring back curbside and delivery, and I’ll announce the plan and exact reopening date soon.
•
This is how we’re going to do it: Catering ➡️ Meal Prep ➡️ Curbside/Delivery
