A couple days ago, someone posted a video on Facebook saying that there was a problem with the accuracy of our fuel pumps. It was implied that we were purposely dishonest, and that they were charged for more fuel than their vehicle had capacity to hold. As soon as we were informed of this situation, we took action. The pump was first put out of service as we conducted an investigation. We contacted D&H Fueling Solutions to verify the calibration of our pump, even though our pumps were all inspected, calibrated, and certified by the state about a month ago. Testing verified that our pumps were in fact within state acceptability. There was a very slight difference that was on the plus side, meaning that it favored the customer, and that the overage was approximately a tablespoon per gallon. Our pump was then re-calibrated to zero variance by the tech. Our hope is that this will restore confidence in the integrity of our dispensers, and our store.
