February 17, 2023.

This was our very first tour of what we hope will become Brookside Market Bel Air.

As you can imagine, in the restaurant world, the wheels start turning immediately. We walked through the building, imagined families gathering, friends sharing meals, celebrations taking place, and a once empty space filled with life again.

We fell in love with the building that day.

The funny thing is, after all that excitement, we couldn’t come to an agreement with the owner and thought the opportunity had slipped away.

Little did we know, this was only the beginning of a journey that would take years, not months.

Today, in June 2026, we’re still pushing forward.

Over the coming months, we’re going to share the entire story | from first tours, liquor board hearings, negotiations to design, redesign, BGE, demolition, construction, challenges, victories, and eventually opening the doors.

Thanks for following along. The journey continues.
