Yesterday's post was made before I learned of the events in Bend at Silver Rail. As a mom of an 8 and 5yr old myself, it hit really hard learning of the three incident children that were taken as well as the teacher who I'm sure fought for her students until the end, and the other teacher and child that were sent to the hospital.

I just want to share that I'm thankful I was able to hug my children tight last night and I never take that for granted. As a mom, my heart hurts for the families that had one less come home last night, that's a pain I would never wish on anyone. Bend is only a few hours away from us here in Beaverton, but I was thankful to see many police officers at my own children's school this morning to reassure families that they are here for us. I'm thankful that I know the teachers at my children's school will do everything possible to keep not just my children, but all the students safe. And I just say give your own loved ones some extra hugs today.

Sometimes.....I throw in an extra special pop in your orders! I usually make an extra pop just in case I have a "whoops" when decorating, and in this case I turned that pop into a special surprise for the birthday kiddo.

The thing about me being just a tad obsessed with sprinkles is I have something that will work for just about any theme. And if I don't have one already mixed, I will mix my own to get it! Like these Pokémon inspired pops with a little lightning bolt for our favorite electronic one.
