The original homegrown coffee shop, Coffee Call is a Baton Rouge institution — just ask around. Founded in 1976 by Vincent Cannatella Sr., Coffee Call has been many things to many people: a place to meet friends for the perfect cup of cafe au lait, a place to study, meet for business, or even relax with a good book. And, of course, it's always the best place to get a hot, fresh order of beignets.

You might see Brandi fresh roasting our own blends of coffee beans, or Ms. You could also catch a glimpse of Ms. Michelle slicing up our fresh roast beef for our famous French Dip poboy sandwiches. Whatever the reason and whenever you visit, come Start a Tradition at Coffee Call.

Mike Shepherd, the driving force behind The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame since 2003, passed away in Baton Rouge on June 13 at the age of 77, his family said.
