The Thirsty Mermaid offers a full-service coffee and smoothie bar, delightful treats from Val's Gourmet Baked Goods, and soon beer and wine! Hello! Many thanks to all who donated to plant a tree in memory of Margaret Dixon and all she did for Bath. We hope you will be able to join us for a short dedication ceremony and remembrance, Friday, May 2nd at 6pm, in Bridge Park on Bath Creek (behind Blackbeard's Tavern).

Also, we hope you will join us the next day for a Celebration of Margaret's Life and Pig Pickin', Saturday, May 3rd, 12-6 pm, at the Dixon home in Bath.

If you would like to attend the Saturday event and want to contribute a side dish, please send a PM.

Hello! Hope you are enjoying the sunshine and warming temperatures! We wanted to provide an exciting update. The Historic Bath Foundation has generously offered Bridge Park on Bath Creek as a location to plant a tree and place a bench honoring Margaret. We are planning a dedication ceremony the first weekend in May to coincide with a celebration of Margaret's life to be held the same weekend. Please stay tuned for more details.

Also, we are continuing to look for a new venue for the store and are optimistic we will find something down the road. Thanks for staying connected and continuing to support Margaret's vision.

Hello! Hope you are enjoying this break from the cold! Margaret’s friends and family wanted you to know Swindell’s Store will be changing hands in the near future. We are looking for a new location in Bath to carry on Margaret’s legacy of providing an art-filled, inviting space where locals and visitors gather to sip, eat, chat and shop.

“Margaret’s Off Main” is the tentative name of a possible new store and this page. We hope you will stay with us through this journey and continue to follow our progress. Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
