REMINDER::::
Here at the cafe, every meal is made fresh and cooked to order. We are NOT a fast food restaurant, and we will never sacrifice quality just to push food out the door faster.
Everything we serve is made from scratch. Every egg is cracked by hand. Every onion and pepper that goes out that window is hand chopped. We do not serve anything frozen or pre made. We recently even started grinding our own sausage, seasoning it ourselves, and hand pattying every single sausage patty. Every plate that leaves our kitchen takes real work and real time.
Our team is working constantly. No one is sitting in the back doing nothing. Many of our staff have full time jobs and still come in on weekends to help serve our community, and we are incredibly thankful that they are willing to give their time to help us.
Because of the way we cook, there will be times when orders take longer, especially during busy periods or when we are serving larger groups. That is simply the reality of cooking real food from scratch. If you come in on a slower day and your food comes out quickly, that is because we are not as busy. When the restaurant is full, it is not realistic to expect the same speed.
We truly appreciate every customer who walks through our doors, and we want to serve everyone. However, if you are in a serious time crunch, we kindly ask that you plan ahead or call earlier. It is very difficult when someone places an order and then leaves while our kitchen is already cooking their food, because that food was made specifically for them and it slows the kitchen down even more for everyone else waiting. Truthfully, we take that kind of thing personally because we love what we do and take a lot of pride in our work. We are not here to upset anyone. We are simply doing the best we can with the time and hands we have.
We are a small town, family restaurant built around good food and good people, not speed. Every plate we send out that window is made with care and with pride.
