The song is a classic. The harmonies are timeless.

But let’s be honest… we were all waiting for the hops. 😂🔥

Dru Hill brought “Tell Me” to the AFRAM 50 stage and gave us everything we came for…the vocals, the nostalgia, and yes, the signature choreography that had the crowd cheering before they even hit the next note.

Some groups have hits.

Some groups have moments.

Dru Hill has both.

Baltimore, y’all made your hometown legends feel the love. 🎤🖤❤️💚

When Baltimore’s own Sisqó opened Dru Hill’s AFRAM homecoming set with “How Many Licks,” we knew we were in for a night. 🔥🎤

Before the harmonies.
Before the nostalgia.
Before the mayoral citation.

The Dragon came out and reminded everybody why he’s one of the most electrifying performers to ever come out of Baltimore.

And judging by the crowd’s reaction, they knew every word. 😂🎶

Dru Hill came home, and Sisqó made sure we started the celebration right.

If you grew up on SWV, this moment was for YOU. 😭🎶

Because the thing about SWV is they’re not just a group, they’re part of our life’s soundtrack.

From first crushes,
To school dances,
To summer cookouts,
To riding around with the windows down singing at the top of your lungs.

Decades later, Coko, Taj, and LeLee are still showing us why they’ll always be Sistas With Voices.

Now be honest… did you sing this one from beginning to end? 👀🎤💜

Some songs entertain us. Some songs challenge us.

And then there are songs like Man in the Mirror by the GOAT, Michael Jackson, that somehow manages to do both.

India Boone delivered a beautiful rendition on the Roots & Family Stage at AFRAM50, reminding us that even decades later, the song’s message still resonates.

In a world that’s always asking who needs to change, this song asks a different question:

What if it starts with us?

Day 3 of AFRAM 50 was a masterclass in R&B. 🎶🖤❤️💚

Baltimore’s own Dru Hill returned home and reminded us exactly why they’re one of the most successful R&B groups of all time. As part of the AFRAM 50 celebration, they were honored with a special mayoral citation, a fitting tribute to a group that helped put Baltimore on the musical map.

PJ Morton made his AFRAM debut and had the crowd feeling every note, setting the perfect mood for an unforgettable evening.

Then came the incomparable Tamia, who had us dancing, singing, and maybe shedding a tear or two as she reminded us what true love sounds like. Ok, I admit it…I definitely cried during her set 🥺

And closing out the festival was Uncle Charlie himself. Charlie Wilson brought the hits, the vocals, and a testimony of resilience as he spoke about surviving multiple strokes and the goodness of God that carried him through.

What a way to close out 50 years of AFRAM.

Music. Culture. Community. Legacy.

Until next year. 🎤✨

Chlöe Bailey came to AFRAM 50 and chose violence. 😮‍💨🔥

The vocals? Check.

The choreography? Check.

The stage presence? CHECK.

From the moment she stepped on stage, she commanded the crowd’s attention and reminded everyone why she’s one of the most captivating performers of her generation.

And that dance break? Yeah… we’re still talking about it. 🔥

Who caught Chlöe’s set at AFRAM? 👇🏽🎤✨

There’s something special about hearing an artist perform an original song in front of a festival crowd.

For a few minutes, thousands of people who have never heard the song before become part of the story.

Black Assets brought that kind of moment to Day 2 of AFRAM 50 with a song about love, distance, and wondering what’s waiting on the other side of the journey.

And judging by the crowd’s reaction, she wasn’t the only one who’s ever asked that question. ❤️🎶

The Vibe took AFRAM on an R&B journey and the crowd knew EVERY word. 🎶🔥

From sing-along classics to songs that had folks two-stepping, this medley was a reminder that great R&B never goes out of style.

One of my favorite things about AFRAM is watching complete strangers become a choir the moment the right song comes on. 😂🎤

Check them out at the Garden Rooftop and Papillon’s Cocoon!!!

One of my favorite activations at AFRAM 50 was the Amazon Prime Douglass Lounge.

More than just a place to relax, it paid homage to Baltimore’s legendary Royal Theatre—the crown jewel of Pennsylvania Avenue’s Black entertainment district and a vital stop on the Chitlin’ Circuit alongside Harlem’s Apollo and D.C.’s Howard Theatre.

Long before streaming, some of the greatest Black entertainers in America came through Baltimore, and spaces like this help keep that history alive for a new generation.

The music was good. The vibes were immaculate. But the storytelling behind it made it even more special. 🖤✨🎭
