Hey guys! Today I woke up and first thing I noticed was the lack of activities to get done. Haha! One of my new projects is Restaurant Consulting, I left my home at 7:30am to start visiting all my clients (all of them Mexican Resraurants), I was very excited to see everyone's excitement and nervousism. Today, we will be remembering the past 12 Cincos! Many of you were part of them! Enjoy 2017's Cinco de Mayo Celebration!

Hello everyone,
This is Angel again, co-owner of Señor Pique, as you may know past Sunday January 15th was our last day.
My family and I are deeply touched, It is hard to fully describe the profound gratitude that all of you made us feel during the past 6 weeks. Yes, we were open for 12 years, but, your comments and actions of past weeks touched the deepest corner of our hearts. I was able to go out of the kitchen and say hi (better said, "See you later") to many of you, others had to send greetings to my Mom and I through my wife and my brother, others did not care and just went "all in" through the kitchen line to give my Mom a hug, haha! Either way I want you to know that our staff and my family were very aware of your EXTRA visits, best wishes to our family and generous tips to our staff. Your love was felt and it truly makes us think about the possibility of coming back in the future. We shall see, only God knows what is next, but, our desire is highly motivated by your comments and visits. Since early Monday we have been cleaning, selling equipment, emptying our space; walking through the rooms and moving things around, it is impossible not to hear in the background the laughter and celebrations that our space held for years. So, believe it or not, my wife, Mom, brother and I wondered: what will we be doing this Friday night? Well, we decided to pack up the last chips and salsa for you to enjoy at home, we might have some other free samples for you but I will not be able to advertise that, haha! Stop by real quick and take some FREE chips and salsa home, today, Friday, January 20th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm or until we run out.

Dear all,

I hope this message finds you well. I am Angel, co-founder of Señor Pique, my family and I have made the decision of taking a break from serving authentic Mexican food to St. Louisans. After 12 fulfilling years, Señor Pique’s will close on January 15, 2017.

As I write this message I am mainly focusing on expressing the profound gratitude that me and my family feel for all of you. I want to make it clear, I feel deeply thankful for everything and everyone, without exceptions, involved in the 12 years of Señor Pique’s existence.

We have a bunch of mixed feelings but mostly excitement, my family and I made this decision together and we are taking this as a new opportunity. I believe my wife will be starting a new adventure in the makeup and hair industry; my Mom will be taking a much needed break before she decides what’s next; my brother will focus on the car care industry and together we plan to grow The Detailing Pros even more. Finally, I will continue on my journey of self discovery, after 5 years of inquiring, meditating, reading, traveling and studying I am reaching a mindful understanding of my role at home, business and society. I can see how apart from the everyday restaurant operations I immerse myself in this commitment of providing tools, practices and knowledge to our staff to develop their inner leader, and that seems to be my passion now a days. I have found the gold from the constant feedback that life provides me and how meeting my emotions with understanding has helped me learn profoundly from past experiences and most importantly to be present and aware in every moment. I look forward to sharing my experiences through Awareness Coaching (www.awarenessinyou.com) with current leaders, teams and individuals with the intention of developing a mindful and loving culture. I know it sounds as exquisite as a our Tacos de Bistek, and as fulfilling too.

That being said, we have one more job to do, to cook for you for another month and a half! Here we are ready to go and committed to our product and service. Allow me one more time to stress my gratitude to all of you and to everything that allowed Señor Pique to exist. So many people and so many events needed to happen every day for the last 12 years for Señor Pique to be open and because of them (you included) I feel deeply thankful. THANK YOU!
