Circa 1880 is indeed still catering, but we are leasing the building.

We've planned a slow and orderly transition (lol, suuuure) from one to another,
and will phase in as they phase out.

We wanted a brand new start, so we are choosing a new name -- The Shipwreck.

It is with PROFOUND sadness that we announce we will not be able to finalize our purchase of the building we wanted to use to bring you WORLD FUSION. This is despite our best hopes and plans and aspirations. It is out of our hands, with a cloud on the title from a lien filed long ago. We were SO very encouraged and pleased at the response this wonderful community had to our venture, and we are heartbroken.

Unique Opportunity!!!

We are offering immediate PAID training for someone to train in Abilene for the Asian cuisine service at World Fusion. Must have food handler certificate and transportation to Abilene. Great Opportunity to work immediately, and meet the boss and get your foot in the door, and be ahead of the game!!! This training (again, PAID) will be a requirement sooner or later for at least one cook working at World Fusion.

Our sister restaurant, Tokyo Asian Fusion in Abilene will conduct this training and it will be the standard for the Asian service at WF. Call WF at 325-433-0190 to get the whatsapp number fo call to schedule the training.

So as we wait... and believe us when we say we are more impatient than you... we are testing recipes.
Here's what we have to say about Stuffed Artichokes.

1. They are not very photogenic. (either that, or we are better cooks than photographers)
2. Maybe they'd serve more than one person. (could not eat it all, although it was tasty)
3. We could have produced several world-class steaks in the time it took to make it. (with fewer steps)
4. Maybe JUST as a pre-order on Italian night...

However, our "homemade" Caesar Dressing (an unrelated recipe) was a win/win/win. We can't wait.

Speaking of staff… we will need a diverse labor team… a fleet of delivery drivers, delivery coordinator, cooks, bakers, prep chefs, dishwashers, bussers, servers, bartenders, cashiers, Djs. —what? Did they say DJs? We certainly did.

It would be a good idea to update food handler and TACB certs, just in case you’d like to join the team.
