The Deer Creek Elementary School is hosting the Toy Drive for Children's Hospital this holiday season but this got me thinking about my own experiences with my children when they were in this hospital. As a caregiver for my sick child I often forgot to do things like eat and take a moment to breathe. I am trying to raise at least $1000 before Dec. 20th to purchase Gift cards to eating establishments. I will be putting these inside donated bibles and giving them to the families and caregivers of those sick kids. I want EVERYONE to feel the holiday joy this year!

Babydoll Bakery is starting a new non-profit program. It will be called "Blessing Baskets" This is brand new and in it's planning stage but the basic idea is it will be baskets filled with goodies, bibles and a custom bookmark with passages of inspiration. These baskets will be delivered to the Children's hospital for the families and support systems of sick kiddos. We need your help to make this possible! We are looking for donations for baking supplies, basket donations and bible donations. Also if you have a passage that lifts you up please message it to us! Think I am going to call this a sunflower cake. Chocolate cake with a honey, whiskey soaked peach filling, a fudge frosting and a chocolate chip surround. Yum!
