As we watch this weekend’s Nor’easter, we want our volunteers, friends, and neighbors to know that NSN is here, we are preparing, and we are ready to help if our community needs us.
For more than a decade, Neighbors Supporting Neighbors has been about one simple thing: showing up for one another when life gets hard, and we will continue to do it whenever our neighbors need support.
Right now, we are monitoring the storm, staying in contact with our community partners, and preparing for the possibility that we may need to activate.
If that happens, we are prepared to operate from our primary response location at First Presbyterian Church of Babylon and assist with things like emergency supplies, food and basic necessities, volunteer coordination, connecting families with available resources, and helping address other needs that may arise from flooding, power outages, or displacement.
To our NSN volunteers — please stay connected with us this weekend. If we need help, we will post volunteer opportunities and specific needs here.
To our neighbors — please know that you are not alone. If this storm creates real needs in our community, we will do everything we can, together with our partners, to help.
For now, stay safe, get prepared, check on the people around you, and keep following this page for updates.
We are watching.
We are preparing.
We are ready to serve.
