Sweet friends - we will be closed today and throughout next week to mourn and celebrate the life of my extraordinary mother. Thank you to all who have wished my family well, and thank you to my exceptional team for their amazing flexibility and support during this time. A century is a lot of life! I know I’ll see her in the eyes of my loved ones, the blooming of a yellow rose, and the beating wings of hummingbirds. All my love to you, sweet Bennye. Thank you for being my mom. ❤️

We’ll be at the Avondale Estates Town Green tomorrow from 2–6 p.m. Many of our vendors and activities will be covered under the pavilion, and we’ll pause outdoor activities temporarily if weather conditions require it.

Our next Back-to-School Bash community partner spotlight is Galette! 🥐

Founded by Morgan Perkins and Ashley Thomas, Galette began with in-home cooking classes before growing into a small-batch baking business at local farmers' markets. In 2024, they opened their bakery in Avondale Estates’ historic Tudor Village, where they make French-American pastries and breads in-house with a focus on seasonal flavors and natural fermentation.

Although Galette won’t be able to join us in person on Saturday, their generous support is helping us bring lawn games and even more free fun to the Town Green! We’re so grateful to have the support of a fellow local business that believes in creating delicious things and sharing them with the community. 💛

Community partner shout-out! 🌳

A huge thank-you to the City of Avondale Estates for helping us bring the Back-to-School Bash to the Town Green!

The City has supported this year’s event by waiving the Town Green rental fee, helping coordinate event services, promoting the Bash through City channels, and connecting us with the Avondale Estates Police Department, who will be joining us with a community booth.

We’re so excited to bring this Cremalosa tradition to our new home and celebrate alongside the Avondale community.
