Someone removed the majority of the books from our Little Free Library this past week. We hope it was an avid book reader who is planning to hole up & read them all over the weekend & plans return some of them back to us. If not, we’d just like to remind everyone that our Little Free Library is a ‘take one-leave one’ system & if someone chooses to deplete our stash in one fatal sweep, it may not be available for others.

The flower pots line Main Street courtesy of our good friend Katie. Every year she painstakingly plants & waters & cares for the beautiful flowers that fill them.

In a little town like ours selfless people like Katie serve in a variety of ways… they care for planters & garden beds, serve on the park’s board, fill our little free libraries with books, organize art & music in the park, pick up trash, care for our beach & raise money for S***k Days. They plan & work & dream so we can enjoy everything summer has to offer here in our little town.

Here’s to all the behind the scenes people who make our town such a special place to live.
