High Five Access Media will host the 2026 Avon Candidate Forum on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at Avon Town Hall.

All seven candidates running for four open seats on the Avon Town Council in the Nov. 3 election have been invited to participate: Rich Carroll, Justin Chesney, Gregg M. Cooper, Jennie Fancher, Alan Sandberg, Ruth Stanley and Frederick “Rick” Sudekum.

The forum gives Avon residents an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and learn more about their perspectives on issues affecting the community.

Candidates will address key issues facing Avon, including affordable housing, sustainable growth, privacy and economic development. Questions will be gathered from community members and other local stakeholders, and residents are encouraged to submit questions in advance at [email protected].

Avon residents are encouraged to attend in person, hear directly from the candidates and take part in an evening focused on the issues affecting their community. For those unable to attend, the forum will also be streamed live on HighFiveMedia.org and social media and carried on Comcast Channels 5 and 1080.

“Access to reliable local information is essential to an informed and engaged community,” said JK Perry, executive director of High Five Access Media. “We hope Avon residents will join us in person, hear directly from the candidates and come away with a better understanding of the people and perspectives they’ll be considering when they vote.”

Community members may submit questions for the candidates in advance by emailing [email protected]. For additional information about the forum, visit www.highfivemedia.org or call High Five Access Media at 970-949-5657.
