Been a little quiet on here lately, and, honestly, it's cause I've been going through some things.
3 years ago we announced the opening of our food truck. That seems so long ago, but also like yesterday. It was a giant step for me, my family, and a beginning to long days. I started with no investors, no cash flow, and no clue if this was going to work.
And here I am today. Still no investors. Still no clue if this is going to work lol But the dream and vision has remained. Good food, good company.
Over the past few days I've seen several restaurants and food trucks posting " We're closing " or " We're about to close " . Those statements scare me to death. Cause we could easily say those words tomorrow with no hope of a come back. And just writing that sentence brings me to tears.
The economy is hurting so many businesses ( this is NOT a political post BTW. ) especially restaurants. So, what do you do? Do you diminish the quality for fast and cheap? Do you continue to drown in debt for the hope of tomorrow with uncertainty? Cause that's what restaurant owners do every day. It's an amazing feeling to have people rave over your food. It's a high to get through a rush with minimal mess ups, and little waste. Owning a business is hard, for anyone. But us restaurateurs? We're a different breed, and so is our industry. Our hearts are on that plate, and when we can't do it anymore...what will become of us?
See ya'll later βπ»
