Perla’s was founded in the Spring of 2009 by chefs Larry McGuire and Tom Moorman Jr. with the goal of establishing a great oyster bar & seafood joint on beloved South Congress Avenue. The bar makes delicious coastal cocktails and the wine list is stocked with fun sparkling, rosé & white wines. Perla’s has Austin’s prettiest oak-shaded patio and a comfortable airy dining room featuring a huge saltw

ater fishtank, poured concrete oyster bar and open kitchen. Perla’s offers lunch and dinner daily, brunch Saturday and Sunday, and happy hour Monday through Friday.

Seventeen years in and still bringing the boil!

Perla’s Annual Crawfish Boil had it all: incredible weather, perfectly seasoned crawfish, cold drinks, and a whole lot of good company under the old oak tree. A full-on burst of zydeco from lit the place up, with DJ keeping the energy high all afternoon. Huge thanks to our friends at for pulling it all together.
